This is true when, last night, I happened to receive several messages containing malicious attacks against several 2010 electoral aspirants, particularly against NPC’s VP bet Senator Loren Legarda. The messages read along the lines of “The senator introduced bill to reduce employee salaries!”
Of course I am alarmed! I don’t want my humble salary to be squeezed more! If this is true, I would curse Loren with all my might. I have a family to sustain, and such bill will be of no help to anyone of my kind!
I Googled the news as soon as I read the messages. And to my shock, and relief as well, none of the messages relayed true information. Meaning, Loren never harried on decreasing local employees’ wage. And to more of my surprise, I learned that early this January, the lady senator has introduced a bill proposing salary increase to majority of workers in our country, mostly for our military workers.
This goes to show that our country is already witnessing another chapter of poli-tainment (short for political entertainment) – Political Elections. O yes, we are not yet on the campaign period, but look, propagandists here and there are starting to make their move. They want their bets’ strongest contenders out of the arena.
Whatever these detractors do, I would not easily be blinded by them. I hope you would do the same – shrug off their political cants and research for yourself.
